My pick for July was a fun one and interestingly I saw the film wayyyyy before I read the book so when I finished the book I tried a rewatch and it was awful the book was better. The book in quesion is Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz and is the first book in the series of Alex Rider.

But before I give you my thoughts I shall give you a rundown where I was. The Book was published in 2000 the same year I was about to turn 30 and oh boy was I dreading that number but turned out okay as it was also my first step onto the property ladder.

Stormbreaker is written for the ages of 9 -14 but since I love middle grade I was excited to pick it up and I was not disappointed. Alex Rider was a fabulous main character and oh lordy there was never a dull moment in the book and for a small book that was a whole lot of action. The only downside was the baddie I found him a bit camp.

For all the above reasons Stormbreaker receives 4 stars and I am happy to say that I am continuing on with the series
