Mumik & Pimnik, a brother and a sister who will explore unknown territories as they set about finding each other. Neboo McCloudy, a grumpy creature ready to weather his biggest fears so he can discover a secret and otherworldly treasure. And Lincoln Jax, an orphan girl in search of a kingdom that holds the answer to everything she is looking for.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I’m Vee (very formally known as Veronica Del Valle)

I’ve always had fondness for words, language and the magic of storytelling, though I didn't really want to be a writer.

But as it turned out, about 9 years ago I started writing fiction by accident and now I can’t imagine doing anything else.

I grew up in Argentina, but life eventually led my to live in London, the city that was my home for many years.

I have an MA in Creative Writing from Kingston University, London, UK.

I currently live in Buenos Aires with my husband, Ale, and her daughter, Tomiko. I teach creative writing at Universidad de San Andres and I’m a contributing editor and writer for one of Argentina’s leading news organizations.

When I’m not writing or teaching, I’m either a) meditating or b) enjoying life with my family (which, in a way, is another beautiful way to meditate).

I hope my readers will enjoy the characters, I hope they enjoy Florence’s journey, I’m hoping they’ll be excited by the world I’ve created.

I hope my stories inspire people to love and respect one another and the world we live in. And I also hope the children (or adults) who read this story will be inspired to be who they truly are, without ever comparing themselves to others, and follow their dreams.

First off I would like to thank Anne from Random Things Tours and the Publishers SilverWood Books for allowing me a place on the Blog Tour and sending me a Physical Copy. The Book of Four Journeys is a Middle Grade collection for 4 short stories written by Veronica del Valle. Each character goes on very different journeys. My least favourite was Mumik and Pimnik as I found it harder to get into as I found it was a bit too long and often took me out of the story. I also found the ending to be a bit too safe and the logic to be a bit questionable. Throughout the book there were words I did not recognise like spumy and ermine and so I had to look up the words to see what their meaning was. Maybe a glossary would of been a good idea or use words that your audience would know. Every time I had to look up a word it took me right out of the story and I kept on wanting to put the book down. I was going to give this a low rating but the final two stories Neboo McCloudy and LIncoln Jax together with the wonderful black and white illustrations which I wish could have contained more in the book elevated it into a 3 star rating
