Once we were Witches was an ominous start to a series and from the very start you as a reader know that you will be taken on a journey into the unknown.
Spel and Egg were great characters and Spel having Alopecia was something that I have never seen in a Middle Grade Novel and therefore Kudos for Sarah.
For all the above reasons Once we were Witches receives 4 stars
