A funny, heartfelt YA romance about finding love—and lots of grilled cheese sandwiches—in the place you least expect it, from rising talent Deya Muniz. Lady Camembert wants to live life on her own terms, without marriage. Well, without marrying a man, that is. But the law of the land is that women cannot inherit. So when her father passes away, she does the only thing she can: She disguises herself as a man and moves to the capital city of the Kingdom of Fromage to start over as Count Camembert. But it’s hard to keep a low profile when the beautiful Princess Brie, with her fierce activism and great sense of fashion, catches her attention. Camembert can’t resist getting to know the princess, but as the two grow closer, will she able to keep her secret? A romantic comedy about mistaken identity, true love, and lots of grilled cheese.

Tour Schedule:
I thought I have seen a lot of different kinds of Graphic Novels that is until I read Princess and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich which oozed so much cheesiness and puns it could sink a battle ship. But through Deya's wonderful writing and illustrations you will end up being charmed by every character having the same names as well known cheeses and guffawed at the names of famous fashion designers. Then you have a series side with a content warning of misogyny which I think Deya discussed really well. I loved the relationship between Camembert and Brie and was hoping and praying that they would end up together. But the cherry of on top of the cake was finding out that the story was based on her wooing and marrying her now wife really warmed the cockles of my heart.
For all the above reasons I knew that I had to rate Princess and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich 4 stars and suggest that you go and get a copy for yourself.
