Ed Goodwin is a retired IT project manager who lives in Coventry. He is a chess coach working with schoolchildren and adults. He also helps blind and partially sighted people to use computers and in creative writing classes. During the first Covid lockdown his five young grandchildren were his inspiration to start writing and recording children’s stories. Ed is also a keen but slow runner, having completed five half marathons.

First off I would like to thank Anne from Random Things Book Tours and the Publishers The Conrad Press for allowing me a place on this blog tour and sending me a physical copy.

Journey to the moon and other stories is a children's chapter book which is split into three very different short stories based on the Goodwin Family. The Goodwin Family comprised of Mum. Dad, Suzy and Connie and written by Ed Goodwin.

I'm not going to spoil any of the stories instead what I will say that all three stories once would actually make a good discussion especially Punch and Judy. It also encourages the importance of imagination no matter how old a person is. My favourite character was Dad he was such a big kid and the situations he found himself in were hilarious and did make me smile. Considering this was written during lockdown Ed did a pretty solid job at writing this book. So I am giving it 3 stars. I am intrigued to see if Ed is writing more books about the Goodwin family and if so I will keep a lookout.
